-
First time visit consists of an exam, x-ray and a full mouthperiodontal measurement of your gums. This will give us a baseline to determine how your gums are doing.
-
Prophylaxis is a regular teeth cleaning done once every six months. It involves removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth—especially in areas that are hard to reach with regular brushing and flossing.
-
A deep cleaning, also known as SRP (scaling and root planing), is a special treatment used to remove plaque and bacteria from below the gumline, where regular cleanings can’t reach. It’s often recommended for patients with gum disease, especially if you have bleeding gums, bad breath, or loose teeth.
This treatment helps stop infection, reduce inflammation, and protect the bone that supports your teeth.
-
Periodontal maintenance is a special type of dental cleaning used to manage gum disease after you’ve had a deep cleaning. It goes below the gumline to remove plaque and bacteria that regular cleanings can’t reach.
These visits are usually scheduled every 3 to 4 months to help prevent the return of infection, protect the bone that supports your teeth, and keep your gums stable over time.
-
Gingival irrigation is a procedure that flushes out bacteria, plaque and food debris in between teeth and under the gum line.
-
Fluoride is a natural mineral that helps strengthen your teeth and protect them from cavities. It works by making the outer layer of your teeth (enamel) stronger and more resistant to decay.
Fluoride treatments are quick, painless, and especially helpful for older adults, who may be more at risk for tooth sensitivity, dry mouth, or root decay.

Sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the grooves of back teeth, where food and bacteria often get trapped. These areas can be hard to clean, which increases the risk of cavities. While sealants are commonly used for children, adults can also benefit—especially if their molars are healthy, have deep grooves, and no existing cavities or fillings. Sealants create a barrier that helps keep teeth cleaner and more protected over time.

Teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten your smile by removing surface stains and discoloration. Over time, teeth can become stained from food, drinks, medications, or natural aging. Professional whitening treatments gently lift these stains, restoring a cleaner, whiter appearance.
-
Laser Bacterial Reduction therapy (LBR) is a noninvasive method of killing bacteria in the mouth. This procedure is done during a routine cleaning visit. LBR is accomplished using a non-cutting dental laser.
